Asian Games: Three new world records set in women's 61kg weightlifting

Nagoya (Japan), Sept. 25 -- China's Yang Liuyue set world records in the snatch and total on her way to winning the women's 61-kilogram weightlifting title at the 20th Asian Games on Friday.

Yang lifted 112kg in the snatch to see a world record before adding 139kg in the clean and jerk fora winning total of 251kg. DPR Korea's Pak Jin-hae refreshed a world record of 139kg in the clean and jerk, which Yang later matched to secure the gold medal.

The 19-year-old Yang had chalked up a world record in the snatch in the women's 63kg category at this year's Asian Weightlifting Championships. Pak took the silver with 248kg, while Kuo Hsing-chu from Chinese Taipei finished third with 237kg.
