New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- Double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker and defending champion shot-putter Tajinderpal Singh Toor will lead India's contingent as flag-bearers at the opening ceremonyof the 20th Asian Games on Saturday.

The ceremony will be held at the Paloma Mizuho Stadium from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm IST, marking the formal start of the continental showpiece, which runs until October 4.

Bhaker, who won two bronze medals at the Paris Olympics, became the first Indian athlete in the post-independence era to win two medals at a single edition of the Games. She was also part of India's gold-medal-winning women's 25m pistol team at the Hangzhou Asian Games, four years back.
