Bengaluru, July 28 -- Escalating the political war over former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's announcement that he would not contest future elections, Karnataka Leader of the Opposition R Ashok on Tuesday dismissed the statement as a "decade-old political drama" aimed at keeping Congress leaders on edge.
"Siddaramaiah has been saying for the last ten years that he will retire from electoral politics. But every time elections approach, he contests again. This is nothing but a political drama to intimidate senior leaders within his party," Ashok told reporters here.
