Pune, Feb. 23 -- In view of the upcoming Ashadhi Wari Palkhi procession, District Collector Jitendra Dudi has directed all concerned departments to complete the development works along the pilgrimage routes from Dehu and Alandi before May 15th.

Ashadhi Wari Palkhi is a centuries-old pilgrimage in Maharashtra where devotees, known as Warkaris, walk hundreds of kilometres to the Vithoba Temple in Pandharpur.

The DC assured that the administration would take concrete action on the demands received from the Dehu and Alandi temple trusts.
