Hyderabad, July 16 -- The Ashada Bonalu festival, one of Telangana's most significant cultural and religious celebrations symbolising social harmony and the state's composite "Ganga-Jamuna" culture, commenced with the offering of the first Bonam to Goddess Jagadambika Mahankali atop the historic Golconda Fort on Thursday.
Government Advisor V Hanumantha Rao and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka's wife, Bhatti Nandini, offered the first Bonam at the temple.
