Tehran, Feb. 28 -- At least 57 students were killed and 60 others wounded in an Israeli strike at a girls' school in Minab, Hormozgan Province, on Saturday.

Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Minab's provincial governor, Mohammad Radmehr, as confirming that the Shajareye Tayabeh school had been directly attacked and that several students had been killed.

Radmehr also said 53 students are still under the rubble, according to IRNA. He said rescue operations were underway at the school.
