As a prelude to WPL 2027, TNCA to host Special Women's T20 match on Aug 25 at iconic Chepauk stadium

Chennai, Aug. 21 -- The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) will conduct a special Women's T20 match on August 25 at the iconic M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai as a curtain raiser to the proposed Women's Premier League in 2027.

The match would be held between TNCA President's XI vs TNCA Secretary's XI under lights at 6.00 pm on August 25 and the entry would be free for spectators, TNCA Honorary Secretary U. Bhagwandas Rao said on Friday.

The teams would comprise probables from the Tamil Nadu State Senior Women's, U-23 and U-19 categories.
