Mullanpur, April 20 -- Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya has said that he does not specifically train for six-hitting, insisting that his natural timing rather than dedicated power-hitting practice is responsible for his ability to clear the ropes.

Speaking after being adjudged Player of the Match, Arya said his batting preparation is centred on pure timing and making the best possible contact with the ball, rather than isolating big-hitting as a separate drill.

"I don't practice six-hitting that much. I just try to time the ball as well as possible, and that naturally helps me in batting," Arya said, adding that his approach keeps things simple and effective. He hammered nine sixes in the match against Lucknow Super Giants.
