Itanagar, Aug. 27 -- The Arunachal Pradesh Government has reported significant progress in its flagship Scheme for Strengthening Transmission & Distribution System, aimed at ensuring reliable and quality electricity supply across the state.

According to official data, the project has achieved 69 per cent completion as of May 2025, with an investment of Rs 4,788 crore.

Key highlights of the scheme include the commissioning of one 220 kV substation and ten 132/33 kV substations, which have collectively strengthened power distribution, connecting 16 districts.

In addition, more than 2000 km of 220/132 kV transmission lines and 4000 km of 33 kV distribution lines have been laid.
