Itanagar, Sept. 4 -- The Arunachal Pradesh Police has arrested two persons for allegedly committing a Rs 1.09 crore GST fraud by creating fake firms using stolen digital credentials.
Naharlagun Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Nyelam Nega today said, the case was registered on the basis of a complaint from Tajo Parang, proprietor of M/s JZ Enterprise, who alleged that the accused, Ravi Rai (34) and Harka Bahadur alias Sumit Sunar (37), fraudulently accessed hisGST portal using his user ID and password without consent.
They allegedly created fictitious firms, M/s SK Enterprise and M/s Nagar Traders, to generate fake invoices and manipulate Input Tax Credit (ITC) transactions.
