Itanagar, June 3 -- Arunachal Pradesh Police in Namsai district has intensified its crackdown on drug trafficking and substance abuse, resulting in the arrest of seven alleged drug peddlers and seizure of approximately 75.86 grams of suspected heroin during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted over the past one-and-a-half months, police said on Wednesday.

Namsai Superintendent of Police Sangey Thinley said that the operations were carried out by the district police's Anti-Drug Squad (ADS) led by SDPO Namsai, DySP Kengo Dirchi, along with Inspectors A K Pandey, N K Khen, T Padung, and Sub Inspectors R Ado and R Kahik. The drives were coordinated by Dy.SP (HQ) Matin Ratan under the overall supervision of SP Namsai.
