Itanagar, June 12 -- In a major initiative to strengthen the export ecosystem and enhance international market access for local products, the Arunachal Pradesh Department of Trade and Commerce, on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Kolkata, for the establishment of an Export Facilitation Centre (EFC) in Itanagar.

The MoU was signed at the State Civil Secretariat in the presence of Trade and Commerce Secretary Bullo Mamu, Director Sonyung Modi, Head of IIFT Kolkata Dr K Rangarajan, and other officials of the department.

Consultant and EFC Coordinator with States, X-Cell, IIFT Kolkata, Sumana Das, was also present on the occasion.
