Itanagar, March 6 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has extended his warm greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Adi community, on the joyous occasion of the Unying Aran festival.
In his message, the Governor expressed hope that this year's celebration would further strengthen the bonds among people and deepen their connection with nature, which he said has always been central to the way of life of the people.
Parnaik said Unying Aran, celebrated every March, marks the Adi New Year and heralds the beginning of a new agricultural cycle. The festival, rooted in traditional practices such as rodent trapping, reflects the community's deep understanding of nature and sustainable farming practices.
