Itanagar, April 5 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt General (Retd) K T Parnaik on Saturday extended warm greetings to the people of the state, especially the Galo community, on the eve of the latter's Mopin festival.
In his message, the Governor expressed hope that the vibrant festival would usher in peace, happiness, and prosperity across the State.
He said Mopin is one of the most celebrated festivals of Arunachal Pradesh and reflects the rich cultural heritage of the Galo tribe. Through its unique rituals, traditional practices, and strong community spirit, the festival embodies the values, beliefs and collective identity of the Galo people.
