Itanagar, June 27 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik on Saturday expressed deep concern over the rising incidence of crimes against women and children in the state, particularly cases registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and called for urgent measures to improve prosecution and victim protection.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at Lok Bhavan here, the Governor assessed the measures being undertaken by the state police and concerned departments to ensure the safety and protection of women and children.
