Itanagar, June 24 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has expressed deep concern over the recent incident at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, and advised the State Government to conduct an impartial inquiry into the alleged rowdyism, threats, coercion and intimidation faced by the institute's Director.
The Governor made the remarks when Home Minister Mama Natung called on him at Lok Bhavan in here on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two leaders held detailed discussions on the prevailing law and order situation in the state, with particular focus on the developments at the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology.
