Itanagar, June 5 -- Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has emphasised the need for heightened vigilance and operational preparedness along the international border during a meeting with Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, in Shillong on Thursday.
The Governor, who was in the Meghalaya capital to attend the plenary session of the North Eastern Council, held detailed discussions with the Assam Rifles chief on issues related to border management, regional security, and the welfare of border communities in Arunachal Pradesh.
