Itanagar, June 12 -- Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who also holds the Finance, Tax, Excise & Narcotics portfolios, directed officials to chalk out strategies to enhance GST compliance and revenue collection.
Chairing a review meeting of the Department of Tax, Excise & Narcotics on Thursday to assess the department's performance, the Deputy CM emphasized bringing all eligible businesses, especially hotels, restaurants, and resorts, within the ambit of mandatory GST registration.
He directed the Department to conduct targeted awareness drives in partnership with the Arunachal Chamber of Commerce & Industries (ACCI), aimed at educating businesses about the benefits of GST registration and compliance.
