Itanagar, Oct. 31 -- A delegation of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC),led by its president Bosiram Siram, called on the State Governor at Raj Bhavan here today and submitted a memorandum seeking urgent intervention against alleged unlawful directives and threats issued by "certain groups" ahead of the forthcoming Panchayati Raj elections 2025 in Longding and adjoining areas in Tirap and Changlang districts.
In the memorandum, the APCC alleged that some groups have issued threats to village leaders and the public, coercing them to support ZPM candidates of the ruling BJP, warning that any voter or candidate who defies the order would face a fine of Rs 20 lakh or dire consequences.
