Itanagar, June 15 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Monday inaugurated the Arunachal Pradesh Bamboo & Cane Technology Centre at Gungu near Itanagar, describing bamboo as one of the state's greatest natural assets with the potential to generate employment, entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability and long-term economic growth.

Addressing the gathering, Khandu said the new centre would help transform Arunachal Pradesh's abundant bamboo resources into value-added products while creating livelihood opportunities for local youth, artisans, self-help groups and entrepreneurs.
