Itanagar, March 17 -- Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has announced ex-gratia assistance for the victims of the tragic landslide that occurred at Niti Vihar in Itanagar on Monday.
The incident, which took place around 4 pm during the construction of a retaining wall, claimed four lives despite prompt rescue efforts by the district administration, police, SDRF teams, and other emergency responders. Three other workers were injured in the incident who were later rushed to Heema Hospital for treatment.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of lives, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and assured full support from the state government.
