Itanagar, Sept. 27 -- The Arunachal Pradesh unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday questioned the basis of recent criticism directed at the Election Commission of India (ECI) over the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, citing the Commission's clarification issued on September 26.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP State Head Office here, party spokesperson Tobom Dai referred to statements made by Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on September 24, including his demand for the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
