Itanagar, July 19 -- Three persons stranded in the Bichom River in Arunachal Pradesh's West Kameng district were rescued in a swift overnight operation by disaster response personnel following a requisition from the district administration, official sources said on Sunday.
According to official reports, the incident occurred on Saturday after three persons became stranded in the river, prompting the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to requisition a Search and Rescue (SAR) operation.
