Itanagar, June 3 -- Rajiv Gandhi University (RGU), Doimukh, Arunachal Pradesh, has secured the 14th position among Central Universities in the latest rankings released by the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF), retaining its status as the highest-ranked central varsity in the Northeast.

Among other Central Universities in the region, North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, was ranked 28th, followed by Tezpur University at 30th and Mizoram University at 32nd.
