Itanagar, Aug. 7 -- In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Arunachal Pradesh's Namsai District Police arrested an alleged drug peddler and seized 82 grams of suspected heroin worth about Rs 16.40 lakh in the illicit market during a raid at Solungtoo village.
The accused, identified as Osina Chautang, a resident of Solungtoo village, was apprehended following a search operation conducted on the basis of specific intelligence inputs.
The operation was led by Deputy Superintendent of Police and Namsai SDPO Kengo Dirchi and included Officer-in-Charge of Namsai Police Station, Inspector T Gadi, SI Sanjay Kumar, LSI S Thoumoung, and other police personnel.
