Itanagar, Aug. 20 -- In two separate operations, police in the Itanagar Capital Region (ICR) have seized a total of 6.39 kg of suspected cannabis and over 14 grams of suspected heroin, arresting three persons in connection with alleged narcotics offences, a senior officer said on Thursday.
In the first operation, Naharlagun Police intercepted 22-year-old Tachung Beyong at Boda Namchi, Nirjuli, at around 5:42 pm on Wednesday. During his personal search, police recovered 34 grams of suspected cannabis packed in three packets.
A search of his scooter led to the recovery of another 910 grams of suspected cannabis in 74 packets, while a subsequent search of his rented accommodation resulted in the recovery of 5.446 kg of the suspected contraba...
