Itanagar, Dec. 28 -- The Arunachal Pradesh Government has declared a one-day district holiday in East Siang on Monday, as a mark of respect to the departed soul of late Yadap Apang, former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Pasighat West constituency.
According to an official order issued by the General Administration (GA) Department, all government offices, educational institutions and market establishments in East Siang district will remain closed for the day.
The decision has been taken as a gesture of honour and respect for the late leader, who was widely regarded for her public service and contribution to the socio-political life of the region.
