Itanagar, Aug. 2 -- The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has restored vital road connectivity to Huri in Arunachal Pradesh's Kurung Kumey district by constructing and launching a 200-foot Bailey Bridge, replacing the bridge that was washed away in flash floods on the night of July 11.

The collapse of the earlier bridge had completely cut off Huri, disrupting the movement of residents, essential commodities and emergency services.

The restoration was undertaken on a mission mode by Project Arunank, with personnel of 85 RCC/756 BRTF working under extremely challenging conditions.
