Itanagar, June 12 -- The Itanagar Police has arrested 41-year-old man, Tai Shiva, in connection with a case of alleged sexual molestation of a minor girl, police said on Thursday.
According to police sources, the incident is reported to have taken place in March 2025.
The matter came to light after the victim's parents noticed behavioural changes in the 13-year-old
girl, leading to the lodging of a formal complaint on June 11, at Women Police Station, Itanagar.
Subsequently, a case (No. 43/2025) was registered WPS, Itanagar under Sections 74 and 75(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), read with Sections 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012.
