Hyderabad, March 25 -- Poets, artists and political leaders on Wednesday called for a united voice in support of world peace and urged people to participate in a proposed anti-war rally on March 29.
The appeal was made at a roundtable conference organised by the Telangana Praja Natya Mandali at the CPI State office under the theme "No to War," in solidarity with the Anti-War Committee's planned protest against the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
Speakers expressed concern that modern warfare, backed by nuclear weapons and advanced technologies, poses a serious threat to humanity and global stability. They stressed that war inevitably leads to suffering and economic distress.
