Kolkata, Oct. 28 -- Nearly two crore existing voters in West Bengal may have to submit one of the documents specified by the Election Commission of India (ECI) to retain their names in the electoral roll.
"In the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise being conducted across the state, around 2 crore existing voters might have to submit fresh documents specified by the election commission of India. This is a preliminary estimate. As things progress we will be able to tell the exact figure," a senior official of the CEO office told UNI.
