Lucknow, Aug. 31 -- Amidst the floods, the Uttar Pradesh government has prioritized relief and rescue operations and fully activated the administrative machinery in 17 flood-affected districts of the state.

In addition to evacuating people to safe places in flood-affected areas, arrangements for food, shelter, health facilities and fodder for animals are being made.

According to the Uttar Pradesh Relief Commissioner's Office, as of Sunday, 17 districts in the state were affected by the floods. Till date, no loss of life or animal damage has been reported in the state. Relief operations are continuing uninterrupted in the affected areas under the supervision of the Yogi government.
