Kabul, June 24 -- Over 1,500 Afghan refugee families returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan and Iran in a single day on Monday, reports Afghan state media Bakhtar News on Tuesday.
"A total of 1,469 Afghan refugee families returned via several crossing points, with the majority of them from Iran yesterday," the state-owned media outlet added.
All the returned families have received necessary assistance from the Afghan authorities at the crossing points, the media outlet further said.
