Alappuzha (Kerala), Aug. 22 -- Aroma Chundan scripted a sensational victory in the 72nd Nehru Trophy Boat Race at Punnamada Lake here on Saturday, emerging as the champion after a thrilling photo finish and creating history in its very first appearance in the prestigious regatta.
Representing the PBC Punnamada NCFC Boat Club, the newly launched Aroma Chundan completed the final in 4 minutes and 23 seconds to claim the coveted Nehru Trophy. The victory was achieved by the narrowest of margins, with Aroma Chundan defeating Nadubhagam Chundan by just 12 milliseconds.
