Srinagar, July 17 -- The Indian Army is mourning the loss of brave assault canine 'Bajaj', a decorated military dog, who served valiantly in multiple high-risk anti-terror operations in Kashmir over the past three years.

He died on July 15 after a prolonged illness.

The Army's Srinagar-based Chinar Corps paid tributes to 'Bajaj' calling him a vital member of their combat team who stood as a symbol of loyalty, strength and courage.

"Chinar Corps expresses heartfelt condolences on the demise of Assault Canine Dog 'Bajaj' on 15 July 2025 after a prolonged illness. A vital member of our combat team, Bajaj stood as a symbol of loyalty, strength and courage," the Chinar Corps said in a post on X.
