Ranchi, June 16 -- The Indian Army on Tuesday launched a four-day mega eye care camp, 'Drishti 2026', at Military Hospital Namkum here to provide specialised treatment to ex-servicemen, their dependents and civilians.
The camp, being organised under the aegis of Eastern Command, was inaugurated by Director General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) Surgeon Vice Admiral Aarti Sarin.
Specialist teams from Army Hospital (Research and Referral), New Delhi, are offering services including cataract surgery, glaucoma management and retinal treatment.
Army officials said the initiative aims to improve access to advanced eye care services, particularly for people living in remote and tribal areas of Jharkhand.
