Agartala, March 25 -- In a significant security breakthrough ahead of the upcoming Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (ADC) elections, railway police detained a suspected arms smuggler at Agartala Railway Station Tuesday evening.
The authorities seized an illegal firearm, live ammunition, and a magazine from the individual's possession. Raju Bhowmik, the Officer-in-Charge of the Government Railway Police (GRP), reported that the arrest occurred during a routine inspection near the parking area close to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) outpost.
