Kannur (Kerala), Aug. 9 -- Arjun Ayanki, who had been absconding and was being searched for by the Kerala Police for several days, was arrested in Kannur on Sunday.
A police team led by the North Zone Deputy Inspector General (DIG) arrested Ayanki from the flat of a woman lawyer in Kannur city. Police had taken into custody on Saturday the car allegedly used by Ayanki while he was on the run. The vehicle was found abandoned at Panankavu in Kannur.
Following the recovery of the vehicle, police suspected that Ayanki was still in Kannur and intensified their search. The investigation eventually led them to the lawyer's flat, where he was found.
Another person, reportedly a friend of Ayanki, was also present at the flat. When the police team...
