Atlanta, July 16 -- Defending champions Argentina produced another dramatic late comeback to defeat England 2-1 in the FIFA World Cup semifinal at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium here on Thursday IST, booking their place in Sunday's final against Spain.

England looked on course for a place in the final after Anthony Gordon broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, but Argentina turned the match around in the closing stages as Enzo Fernandez equalised five minutes from time before substitute Lautaro Martinez headed home the winner in second-half stoppage time from a Lionel Messi cross.
