Mumbai, July 8 -- India's Jyothi Surekha Vennam's bronze medal from the Archery World Cup Final 2025 in Nanjing, the People's Republic of China, has been upgraded to silver after Mexico's Mariana Bernal, who won the gold, was disqualified.

Last week, World Archery announced that Bernal was disqualified for violating anti-doping regulations and revised the final results of the season-ending tournament.

Bernal accepted the consequences of the anti-doping rule violation after testing positive for the prohibited anabolic steroid nandrolone in an out-of-competition test conducted by the International Testing Agency on September 29, 2025.
