Cairo, June 24 -- The League of Arab States, the African union (AU), and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) have jointly condemned what they described as ongoing Israeli annexation and settlement activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, particularly the proposed E1 settlement project and the displacement of the Bedouin community of Al-Khan al-Ahmar east of East Jerusalem.
In a joint statement issued on Tuesday, the heads of the three organizations said Israel's settlement policies constitute a serious violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. They reiterated their opposition to measures they said undermine Palestinian rights and threaten prospects for a two-state solution.
