Jammu, June 26 -- The Apex Council of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has placed its President, Javid Ahmed Kitab, under interim suspension with immediate effect through a Resolution passed under the Constitution of JKCA.
As per the official communique, the decision follows the receipt of serious complaints and material alleging, inter alia, that Kitab furnished an incorrect date of birth while filing his nomination for the office of President, made public statements capable of undermining the dignity and independence of the judiciary, disrupted the functioning and administration of JKCA, delayed the release of employees' salaries, made statements alleged to be communal in nature, repeatedly obstructed the functioning of t...
