Vijayawada, Oct. 20 -- Telugu Desam party national president and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday warned the rebels contesting as independents in the Urban Local Body elections, of disciplinary action if they did not withdraw their nominations.
Naidu held a video conference with Ministers, MLAs, MPs and senior leaders and directed them to convince those who are contesting as independent candidates in the ULB elections to withdraw.
He exhorted the leaders to strive for the victory of alliance candidates in the ULB polls. He advised the leaders to work in coordination with the BJP and Jana Sena party leaders to win a majority of seats. He told the leaders to register a more impressive win than the last Assembly elections.
