Vijayawada, March 3 -- Andhra Pradesh ranks sixth in the country among the states in organ donation, Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav noted here on Tuesday.
At a review meeting with officials, he said that the National Organ and Tissue Transplantation Organisation, an apex body of the union Health and Family welfare department, announced the names of those who donated organs during 2025. The Minister said that after bifurcation of combined AP, Jeevandan Trust was set up through which wide publicity and awareness programmes on organ donation were organized.
