Vijayawada, May 7 -- K Vijayanand, Special Principal Secretary to the Energy Department and Special Chief Secretary (Cost Optimisation-Fuel & Energy), on Thursday presented on initiatives promoting green hydrogen production and steps toward net-zero emissions.

He emphasized the goal of providing reliable, low-cost electricity to farmers, industries, and households. Smart grids, micro-grids, and rooftop solar programs will enable energy self-sufficiency at the local level, with AI and smart technologies ensuring efficient power management, he stated.
