Coimbatore, Sept. 1 -- Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka annexed the Men's and Women's titlesrespectively in the 4th National Para Throwball Championship held here last evening.
In the finals, Andhra Pradesh edged past Jharkhan 21-19 to claim the Men's title, while Karnatakawas declared winner and the Women's title was awarded to it after its rival Jharkhand refused totake the court following a dispute over a point.
Karnataka won the first set 23-17 and was leading 21-16 when the dispute arose.
The online referral system awarded the point to Karnataka, which was disputed by Jharkhandand they refused to play.
After efforts for a patch up did not bear fruit, an urgent Technical Committee meeting wasconvened and declared Karnataka as the winner...
