Vijayawada, June 16 -- The case of a local resident Gade Sai Krishna who allegedly went missing from police custody, has taken an interesting turn with the Andhra Pradesh High Court directing the police to produce him before court by June 29.
Gade Sai Krishna, a resident of Krishna Lanka area was involved in some criminal cases. He went missing a few days ago. His mother Vijayalakshmi filed a habeas corpus petition in the high court alleging that the Krishna Lanka police took her son into custody but did not produce him before court.
The Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APPC) on Tuesday demanded an inquiry into the matter and registration of cases under Sec 302 of IPC against the police officials responsible.
