Vijayawada, June 3 -- : Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has fulfilled his promise to preserve and pass on the legacy of Gurajada Apparao, a renowned social reformer and the acclaimed "Father of Progressive Poetry", to future generations.

With the assistance of the Department of Archaeology, restoration work has been undertaken on the house where Gurajada Apparao resided 150 years ago. Plans have been finalized, in collaboration with the Department of Culture, to construct an auditorium for Rs 1.20 crore on the vacant plot adjacent to Gurajada Apparao's residence.

Additionally, the process of digitizing the works of Gurajada Apparao has been initiated under the aegis of the Department of Archaeology.
