Vijayawada, Sept. 4 -- Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu have congratulated ISRO for the successful launch of GSLV-F17.
The Government in a message here on Friday congratulated the ISRO scientists for achieving a significant milestone with the successful launch and placing in geosynchronous orbit, its heaviest Earth observation satellite, EOS-05, via the GSLV-F17 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota on Friday.
The Governor said the mission marks India's acquisition of its first dedicated imaging satellite, crucial for continuous surveillance and national security and it adds another feather in ISRO's cap.
