Rajahmundry, May 25 -- Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K Pawan Kalyan has directed the panchayat and forest officials to sign an MoU to set up 'Vanayagnam', a community managed natural farming for organised cultivation of indigenous species of plants to enrich and protect the environment.
He was speaking after visiting the regional forest development centre, located at Rajanagaram near here on Monday. He inquired about the indigenous plant species being raised there. The forest officials explained how many plants were being raised at the center, their unique characteristics, and the benefits associated with cultivating them.
